I have been working remotely for almost five years and I have become very familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of this modality.

Research has shown that it can be just as efficient as face-to-face therapy despite its obvious drawbacks. I believe that the efficacy of teletherapy is based on the commitment of the client and the skills of the practitioner. When those two factors are in place, we overcome the foibles of the technology.

I work with people in all sorts of circumstances, from people who cannot afford to spend time traveling to people who can’t get out of bed. We can get good work done through virtual therapy or telehealth.

Telehealth allows us to provide counseling and therapy to our clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone.

Telehealth appointments can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is not convenient, or you simply just don’t want to.

My telehealth solution allows you to schedule an appointment directly online and have the entire therapy session take place digitally. While you don’t need a video camera, I do recommend you use one. To learn more and get started with virtual therapy, please contact me today.
