Intensive Therapy

I know you’ve had enough of this.

Your depression and anxiety have been eating away at your well-being, work, and relationships for way too long.

The people around you are trying to please you. But it sometimes seems more like they are undermining you. You can tell them what to do, how to change, what you need until you are red in the face. That is the problem – you can get red in the face. And that feels awful.

You have more obligations than most people, and people are dependent on you. But you are getting angry, upset, and frustrated too much. Sure, they should know better, but you know that letting your frustrations out on them only makes things less efficient. After losing your cool, you feel stupid, incompetent, or maybe even a loser – even when you know that your whole life proves differently.

And I know this isn’t the first time you’ve thought about making a change.

You tried changing the structure of your organization or team. You have replaced people who don’t “fit in.” You have set the rules and listened to business coaches.

You have spent money on your relationship, gone on vacations, listened to self-help books, set boundaries. Maybe even taken time off or learned to keep your mouth shut. You’ve “tried everything.”

And maybe you’ve even tried therapy before, and as you read this, you’re thinking, “Why should I do this again?” The thought of going back to therapy and failing probably stirs all kinds of anxiety and hopelessness inside you.

There must be something better than talking about your problems for 50 minutes every week!

Wondering if there’s a better way than all that other BS?

There is. It’s intensive therapy.

Intensive therapy is a commitment of at least three hours a day for one week. Sometimes it takes two weeks. Rarely three weeks. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but you will usually know if it is not working after two weeks. With intensive therapy, we avoid any backsliding when minimal progress is made in a 50-minute session. You will be completely dedicated to real progress.

Here’s what it looks like:

Three or four-hour sessions are a serious commitment. You are going to need to know that it is working. If you had to get a fever down, you would want to measure it as often as needed. We will start with that approach right from the beginning. The level of depression, anxiety, anger, happiness, etc. will be measured to assure real progress.

You will spend as much time as you need to be confident that I understand how you feel and what you are thinking in the most comprehensive way possible.

Once that is achieved, we can define your goals and desired outcomes of our work together.

Only then can we begin to practice the methods that over 100 years of psychotherapy and empirical research have determined to have a greater chance of transforming anxiety and depression into joy and happiness. There are over 100 different methods, and our goal is to find the one that works for you. We will not get stuck trying something that does not work for you in this format. Instead, we will move on to other methods until you feel great.

Real, permanent change IS possible…

But you have to be committed to doing the work.

If you are… if you’re willing to work hard and dedicate a week or two to a daily grind of self-improvement… you stand a good chance of pulling yourself out of the quicksand that seems to be pulling you down.
